The German Society for Human Genetics (GfH) was founded in 1987 and is a nationwide scientific association of medical specialists and natural scientists working in the field of human genetics.
One of the central tasks of the GfH is to promote human genetics in all areas of research, teaching and practice. This is done in particular through scientific conferences to publish new results, through the promotion of continuing education and training measures for colleagues in continuing education and colleagues in related disciplines, and through working groups that deal with research and the practical significance of certain sub-areas. The tasks also include bringing together the various research and work areas of human genetics.
