About the event

Distinguish 5mC and 5hmC in a Single Workflow

In this Lunch & Learn seminar, Biomodal will introduce Duet Multiomics, a novel hairpin-based technology that simultaneously captures genetic and epigenetic information from a single low-input sample. Attendees will learn how Duet distinguishes 5-hydroxymethylcytosine (5hmC) from 5-methylcytosine (5mC), two epigenetic marks that are often combined into a single signal by traditional methods. This distinction provides a more complete view of gene regulation, cellular state, and disease biology.

The seminar will also highlight the new Duet Mosaic product family, designed for cfDNA and liquid biopsy research, and how its workflows improve recovery short, damaged, and disease-derived DNA fragments to include the native ends, which are obscured in most library prep protocols. Biomodal will share research examples that illustrate applications of 6-base genomic resolution in biomarker discovery, gene expression inference, and the study of disease mechanisms and treatment resistance.

Agenda:

  • Introduction to Duet Multiomics
  • Liquid Biopsy Applications
  • 6-Base Genome Analysis and Applications
  • Duet Mosaic for cfDNA Research
  • Questions and Discussion
