About the event

biomodal is proud to sponsor the 13th RRCancer & MOH-Q Biennial Symposium

Join us at the Pierre-Péladeau amphitheater (CHUM, Montreal) for this year’s RRCancer (Oncopole) symposium, held in partnership with the Marathon of Hope Québec (TFRI).

Stop by the biomodal table to meet Steven Ciaramaglia and Mark Consugar to learn why genetics alone doesn’t tell the full story. Explore the 6‑base genome, where 5‑methylcytosine (5mC) and 5‑hydroxymethylcytosine (5hmC) reveal a cell’s dynamic state and early signals of change, helping you predict the future.

Presenting at the event

What could you be missing? Enabling a wholistic understanding of epigenetic and genetics with biomodal’s duet multiomics solution.

biomodal

biomodal will highlight their industry leading duet multiomics solution evoC (i.e. “6-base”) technology and how the resultant genetic and epigenetic data can be leveraged in clinical and translational research settings.

In this session biomdoal will demonstrate how duet evoC delivers single‑base‑resolution sequencing that not only detects the standard four bases (A, C, G, T), but also distinguishes between 5‑methylcytosine (5mC) and 5‑hydroxymethylcytosine (5hmC).

By integrating genetic and epigenetic information, duet evoC empowers researchers to:
– Detect disease‑associated signals with greater confidence,
– Identify novel biomarkers,
– Develop more accurate disease classifiers, and
– Monitor disease progression, even from limited materials such as cell‑free DNA (cfDNA).

Obtaining a clearer understanding of how 5mC and 5hmC DNA modifications change over time and/or in the context of disease or therapy can provide investigators with deeper biological insights on disease state and mechanism compared to mutation analysis alone.
