Novel single-base-resolution solution that delivers the standard four-base sequencing (A, C, G, and T), and distinguishes between 5‑methylcytosine (5mC) and 5-hydroxymethylcytosine (5hmC), on the same DNA molecule.
To address the difficulties of analysing methylation data, this poster presents modality, an efficient and scalable analysis package for 5- and 6-base genomes.
Here we show that the combination of resolved methylation and genomic data combined with machine-learning can generate accurate inference of gene expression (both steady-state and nascent), chromatin accessibility, and enhancer state, demonstrating the key role of 5mC and 5hmC in gene regulation.
