Welcome to an afternoon dedicated to pushing the boundaries of innovation with biomodal’s 6-base research solution.
biomodal’s first symposium in Memphis brings together leading voices, breakthrough data, and hands‑on exploration of epigenetic and genetic data, highlighting the expanding potential of biomodal’s 6‑base duet evoC technology. We’ll begin with a vision‑setting introduction from the biomodal team, reviewing the technology and company, followed by a deep dive into cutting‑edge insights from St. Jude’s Ben Youngblood, PhD. After a short break, we’ll explore real‑world 6‑base applications and case studies – including applications in cancer, neurodegeneration, immunology, and more – before shifting into a practical data‑analysis workshop reviewing biomodal’s Modality XPLR analysis software you can run right from your own laptop.
We’ll close the day the best way scientists know how: with good conversations, good food, and a relaxed happy hour in the lounge.
Agenda Highlights
- Technology Showcase: Explore the capabilities of biomodal’s duet evoC technology, which simultaneously detects two epigenetic markers (5mC and 5hmC) alongside the four standard DNA bases (A, T, G, C) with high accuracy from a single, low-input DNA sample. This multiomic approach streamlines the discovery process.
- Scientific Insights: Dr. Ben Youngblood from St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital will present findings on using epigenetic data to understand T-cell “exhaustion,” a key issue in cancer immunotherapy.
- Real-World Applications: Discussions covering the application of 6-base technology in diverse fields, including liquid biopsies for early cancer detection, neurodegeneration studies, and research into aging biomarkers.
- Software Workshop: A practical session introducing Modality XPLR, the accompanying analysis software from biomodal. This low-code platform is designed for rapid data analysis, and runs efficiently on a standard laptop, eliminating the need for specialized computing infrastructure.
